In order to help the industry dig deeper into market demand and accurately improve the comfort and satisfaction of consumer experience, the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standards Committee) recently issued the "GB/T 40270-2021 General Technical Requirements for Textiles Based on Consumer Experience" (referred to as "General Technical Requirements for Textiles Based on Consumer Experience"). "Requirements") national standards, and make useful explorations in promoting the transformation of traditional consumer goods standardization from production-oriented to consumption-oriented. The reporter interviewed Han Yuru, senior engineer of China Textile Standard Inspection and Certification Co., Ltd., for interpretation.

According to Han Yuru, this standard is aimed at the problems that consumers generally criticize for end-use textile products such as consumption and household use. On the basis of basic safety and quality requirements, based on the sensory experience needs of consumers such as touch, vision, smell, etc., the technical index system to standardize product quality has been reconstructed. She said: "The "Requirements" are based on the direct experience of consumers. According to the pain points of consumer experience and daily consumer complaints about products, the assessment items are screened and determined, and the innovative proposal is based on the tactile sensations generated by consumers when using products, Visual and olfactory perception characteristics are required in order to achieve a good experience of textile products."

According to Han Yuru, the entire assessment project system for textiles is divided into three levels. The first is the basic safety requirements, which are based on the mandatory national standards "GB 18401-2016 National Basic Safety Technical Specifications for Textile Products" and "GB 31701-2015 Infants and Toddlers". And Children's Textile Products Safety Technical Specifications, which is the embodiment of the most basic safety requirements for textiles; followed by basic quality requirements, based on relevant product quality standards, such as shirts to meet the requirements of the "GB/T 2660-2017 Shirts" standard ; After meeting the requirements of these two levels of standards, it is necessary to meet the requirements of perception characteristics, so the "Requirements" have been formulated, which stipulates a total of 18 assessment items based on consumer experience. In terms of visual requirements, it focuses on improving and improving the requirements of 10 assessment items such as pilling, lint, loop hook tension, lotion staining, seam performance, and appearance after washing. In terms of tactile requirements, 7 assessment items, including itchiness, moisture permeability, durability label (including trademark) tactility, and zipper tactility, are mainly regulated. In terms of olfactory requirements, the irritating odor requirements of products are standardized. Guide enterprises to pay close attention to the development direction of standardized technology for consumer demand orientation and good consumer experience when designing and producing products.

Han Yuru said that the release and implementation of the "Requirements" will help guide enterprises to face the pain points of consumption, strengthen product design and development and fabric selection, improve the comfort of wearing and use products, enhance the domestic market's recognition of Chinese products, and gradually establish a relationship with industrial manufacturing capabilities. Chinese private brands that match the size of the domestic market.
